Drew Guthrie
Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer

Drew GuthrieAndrew Guthrie, Chief Operating Officer of FoolProof, has been involved in the credit union industry for over a decade. He successfully supervised a $280m asset branch within Colorado early in his career.  Andrew then transferred his skill set to the Credit Union Associations of Colorado and Wyoming (since renamed Mountain West Credit Union Association) where he was a co-creator of Compliance Solutions, a program designed to help small- and medium-sized credit unions with regulatory compliance concerns.

In January 2011, Andrew was recruited to be part of the work-out team for Colorado Capital Bank charged with building a compliance management program. Developing a strong working relationship with FDIC examiners allowed Andrew and the rest of the team to clean up loose ends prior to acquisition by First Citizens Bank.

With some amazing experiences under his belt, Andrew went out on his own in July 2011 and created Veritate LLC to assist credit unions and banks with regulatory compliance issues. The success of the company has been a credit to his work ethic and knowledge base. Andrew has developed full compliance programs for bank holding companies and assisted in examination responses at multiple institutions throughout the United States.

Andrew gained his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from the University of Colorado-Boulder.  He received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration along with a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Carrying the goal of serving the underserved, Andrew has taught Financial Fitness, a program which helps lead lower-income individuals into financial self-sufficiency, through Boulder County for two years. He has also volunteered with Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity.

On the personal front, Andrew enjoys cooking, music, and being an avid sports fan. If his shoulder would cooperate he would be an avid golfer too.
